Dustin McIntee represents clients in contested probate and trust matters and guardianship, conservatorship, and other special needs-related matters; he also practices in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, business and contract law, estate planning, and tax problem resolution. Prior to joining Kennedy & Ruhsam Law Offices, Dustin was a solo practitioner in Asheville, North Carolina, operating a practice focused on guardianship matters, criminal defense, and business and nonprofit law. Dustin previously served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Ramsey County Public Defender’s Office, working in the misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor division.
After completing his undergraduate work at the University of Minnesota, Dustin earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dustin practiced law in western North Carolina for six years before moving back to Minnesota in 2019. Dustin is a former adjunct professor at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law; Dustin also taught college-level courses on criminal justice, constitutional law, contract law, and ethics in North Carolina.
Outside of practicing law, Dustin coaches high school football and track & field at Minneapolis South High School; he is a USA Track & Field Level 2 Certified Throws Coach and has helped multiple shot put and discus throwers qualify for the state championship track-meets in Minnesota and North Carolina. Dustin and his wife Tiffany also enjoy long road trips and have traveled to, and through, more than half of the United States together.
