About
Jason Raether draws upon an extensive litigation background and diverse life experiences to assist his clients to overcome legal challenges and to reach their goals. After serving as a law clerk for district court judge on Hennepin County’s civil block, Jason honed his practice representing clients in complex litigation, including shareholder and partner disputes, employment and labor law cases, real property tax appeals, and contract litigation. Jason has advocated for his clients in a variety of venues, including before the district court, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the Eighth Circuit, and a variety of administrative tribunals. While he takes pride in his many successes in the courtroom, Jason ensures his client’s goals remain his number one priority and sees a favorable settlement that minimizes the expense and stress of litigation preferable to a bitterly fought, and pyrrhic, victory at trial.
Jason draws from this litigation experience in his transactional work. Whether preparing purchase agreements for the sale of commercial real estate, drafting employee handbooks for small or large employers, or preparing organizational documents for business entities, Jason stays focused on his client's goals while minimizing the risk inherent in any given transaction. In his words, “A successful deal is when clients achieve their vision but are protected from problems they may not see.” Communication is key to this goal and, as such, Jason stays in active communication with his clients every step of the way.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys camping and hiking along Minnesota’s beautiful North Shore, socializing with old friends over complicated tabletop games, and spending time with his wife and two children.
